#19 SWEET!!!!! Nice job to all my boys this year, we kicked some ass! We sailed smart and clean and it proved to be a good formula for us. Props to the Veloce boys as well at #14. It was fun to see that three boats that are in our fleet were in the top 25, proves we have some good racing in our rating band still. I can't wait for 09, should be awsome! See you on the water

B-25 SPECIFICATIONS

The B-25 was designed to be a fast boat, to accommodate up to four people, be strong enough to withstand hard usage out on the ocean, and to have handsome lines. The hull shape incorporates fine waterlines forward, a relatively narrow waterline beam, and powerful sections aft. The keel, a modified NACA foil section, is set in a trunk and lifts vertically for trailering. The cockpit is long, wide, and shallow. A fractional rig is used, versatile and fast out of the tacks. The mast is deck-stepped and hinged for easy trailering.

After winning a string of races with the first boat, Beiley put the design in production in 1988. Widely regarded as the first sport boat, the B-25 uses marine plywood for bulkheads and ring frames, and Kevlar with epoxy over a PVC foam core for the hull, all of which means a light, stiff hull. The deck is cored with end-grain balsa. The lifting keel allows for easy launching and retrieval.

The interior of the B-25 is simple, with a V-berth forward, and settees to port and starboard in the main cabin. The designer's goal for the interior was to make it as light as possible, and he succeeded. The cabin sole is a teak and holly veneer over Verticell honeycomb; the weight of the components that make up the interior is around 50 pounds.

The B-25 has done well in mixed fleet racing around its home territories on the West Coast, but a few have shown up at Key West Race Week over the years and done well in PHRF.
